Power Blues!

Don't hear a lot of this stuff on Newgrounds, I fucking love it. The cigarette-lighting/zippo noise at 02:08 was pure gold, little things like that in a recording really set the atmosphere, and I think it was absolute genius to light a cigarette at that point in the song....I gotta say, I was expecting a guitar solo at that point, and if you guys ever remix this you should include a really smooth, bluesy solo at that point in the song, right after lighting the cig....like the guitar player is saying "Hang on, lemme light up before we get into the nitty gritty."

Lundsfryd responds:

I like the way you are thinking. We like this song as it is and have moved on but I would say as a live sort of gag then it would be pretty badass. Thanks for the 10. Really nice of you.

Smooth

I don't think I've ever heard such a smooth, flawless recording here on NG. This intro feels very polished and smooth, like an Eric Johnson song. IMO, this would make a great full-length instrumental. Great job, I love it.

HagenColdfingers responds:

Ty :)

Psychedelic

Cool shit man, I really dig the tones of the guitars, very psychedelic. Cool little jam, sounds like it was pretty fun to record.

inhstudios responds:

absolutely it was! :) so much fun.
and i didnt even finish, and plus i didnt fade out the drums like i planned and add more variation to the drum track like i planned.
:D hahahaha
whatever, i guess thats what blues is supposed to be, talented musicians being lazy and just having fun :)

Amazing!!!

Robert Johnson as well!!! Simply amazing, I'm speechless. What kind of tips would you give someone studying how to play this Delta blues style guitar playing?

BloodFest responds:

Thanks!
Well first you have to tune your guitar to Open G, is not mandatory but you'll get a cool sound. Also use a lot your slide, even if you're playing the standar 12 bar blues.
Practice is the key dude.

Cheers

Don't listen to those idiots.

The posters below have no sense of personal style and musical ability. They immediately dismiss this song because it doesn't sound like the original. Their stuck in a certain mindset about this song and they refuse to let go of it. That being said, I'm not saying this song is perfect. The melody just feels like a building crescendo with no seperate parts....kind of repetitive. It's certainly not my favorite, but it's good nonetheless.

BloodFest responds:

hehe many thanks for your support.
Cheers

The very definition of Drum 'n' Bass

Lol, you should put this under "Drum 'n' Bass" because that's exactly what this is. I could think of some good guitar riffs that would go well with this. Anyway, not bad.

ThrasherMan responds:

Yea? Well, ok then!

Sweet.

I like this song a lot.

Gian responds:

Thank you very much :)

Lol.

I noticed most of the people that reviewed this were people who heard it in that Sonic thing. I haven't seen it, and I hate Sonic. I just wanted to make sure you got a review from someone who DIDN'T hear it in that Sonic movie. This is a cool song, very chill.

Mad-Muppet responds:

Thanks a lot, but you know, there are some people who didn't see the short, except their reviews aren't showed in the first page. Thanks for the review, man!

Agreed.

Yeah, I don't think this belongs under classic rock either. I did like the violin though.

Coyan responds:

Yeah i thought it´s classical+rock...sorry :D

It was okay.

From a musical stand point it was okay. I personally didn't like it though.

JakesFable responds:

Thats just alright man, Thanks alot for taking time to review ;)
